Starbucks

A simple page about the new Starbucks in Oslo City! Love that place, but its a bit pricey there. I tried the Chai Tea Latte and the White Coffee Moccachino. Delicious!

Just Thinking

"The Pier" by Crate Paper is one of the coolest collections this summer! Love these retro colours and the theme! I took some pictures at Resö in Sweden of my youngest son, who had his 6th birthday a few days ago...sometimes he is a very active boy, but on this island Resö he was quite silent and did not want to say a word. I am just wondering what he was thinking at that day!

Resö

Resö is this small island at the swedish coast! Its pretty nice there and oh so quit! Love this place so much! We had some wonderful days at Resö when we visited Sweden back in may. I made this page with the beautiful papers from the coolest collection ever. "The Pier" is from Crate Paper and I love the colours and patterns, they are really great and they are perfect for these sort of pictures! I used some additional stuff from my Studio Calico addons and main scrapbook kit "Planetarium"! Yes, its kit killing time, I have to start with my June kit now!
This page is a lift after a gorgeous layout by Jen Gallacher over at 2peas!

Making-of-Monday #4

Hi, its monday again! I do not have to work today, because the summerholidays started in Norway and I only work on wednesday, thursday and friday this week! So I have lots of time to scrap and do some shopping the next 2 days! Yeah!
Today I want to show you one of my favorite scrapbooking techniques. I love washitape and sometimes I use lots of it to make a special background. In this case I took some cool patterned washitape and some stripes cut from a 12x12 paper to make a sort of checked pattern. I used sequins and a 12x12 vellum paper to tone down the bright colours of the green patterned paper and the washitape. After that I embellished the background with these wonderful alphas from Heidi Swapp. I used some wood veneers alphas, 3 cork arrows and some scraps of paper to finish of the page.

{WOW}

I love Shimelles Sketches and I used here some paper from Websters Pages (love all the cute cameras) and the Planetarium scrapbook kit plus 2 addons from Studio Calico (yes, I still love Studio Calico, they have like the best kits!).
We had a wow-effect at the end of our walk through the "Jardin del Turia" in Valencia. The huge buildings are really huge and so modern. You do not expect this though! So I had to take a picture of my dear husband in front of one of the buildings!

Cloudy Sky

For this page I used lots of scraps from the Planetarium scrapbook kit and 2 add ons. I love scraps! The pictures are from my recent trip to Valencia in Spain! It was very cloudy and rainy this first day...but only in the morning! After a while the sun came out and it was a very nice day!

Aker Brygge

Last saturday my colleagues and I went for a short trip to Oslo! We went to Aker Brygge, this place is near the harbour and on summerevenings its very crowded. We did a boat trip, the so called classic Oslo Fjord Sightseeing. We passed the fortress, the Opera House and idyllic islands with small summer houses. It was a nice and sunny day, so I took a lot of pictures! The pictures on this page are taken with my Iphone. I love to use Instagram though.
I lifted a page by lovely Shimelle! Love the combination of deep blue, aqua and yellow!

The Sweetest Shoes

I bought some new shoes at sale. I love these shoes, they have a nice summer colour and are really comfortable. I have to buy a second pair in another cool colour.
I lifted a page from Shimelle and used 3 Instapics I made at the mall and at home! Love the backgroundpaper in yellow from Websters Pages!

Fjällbacka

I love the work by Lisa Dickinson over at 2peas and for this page I lifted her layout "Smile". I was so inspired by the video that I had to lift it! I took some pictures at our trip to Sweden a few weeks ago and I loved especially this one from the harbour in Fjällbacka. I did not had any cool looking journaling or PL-cards in my stash so I used patterned paper from the Planetarium kit (Studio Calico) instead.

Relaxing & Peaceful

A few weeks ago we had some days of and we did not want to celebrate the 17 th of may (nationaldagen) in Norway (sorry guys...), but we wanted to go to Sweden instead for a short break! I love Norway...but sometimes we want to buy cheaper stuff (Norway is so expensive!), have nicer weather and see other places. It was just perfect: the sun shined, it was quite warm and the kids were allowed to swim in the sea. They played a lot with yellyfish though! One day we went to this small coastal town Fjällbacka. I took some gorgeous pictures. It was the second time we visited this beautiful town, because I just love this place!
I made this page with the Planetarium Kit (Studio Calico) and used some add ons (Orion and Big Dipper), I ordered the cute anchor-punch and all fits perfect, right? I used some Glitz Design too.

Nice Day

It was one of these sunny days in Valencia! After the long and very cold winter in Norway this was so much fun! We just walked and walked and I took lots of pictures. These pictures were taken at the harbour! Love the blue sky and all the water! I used some vellum (yes, its an old new trend right now!) and I punched ot some anchors and used fancy sequins (see: Five Ways To Use Sequins On Your Layouts By Daphne Wünn-Rihm). Love the colours of this page and you know what? It came so easily and quick together! Wish it would always be like that! I made this page with the may scrapbook kit and add ons from Studio Calico!

Making-of-Monday #3

Hei, I am back from a trip to Germany and back to blogging. Some of you maybe know that I am a studied art teacher but I work at an afterschoolclub in Norway. Usually I do not use much artistic techniques on my pages, because for me art and scrapbooking are two different worlds. Art is art and scrapbooking is a papercraft. But today I want to show you how you can use aquarelle colours on your page. I used different papercraft techniques like heat embossing and stamping too and I used my very old aquarelle colours and even a mask. Just look and be inspired! Hope you like it!
