hei and welcome to a new edition of "Scrap Your Kit - January". I made 11 pages in total and today I want to show you the last two pages I made with this wonderful scrapbook kit and one add on!
This page is about Marina Rubicon, a harbour nearby the Papagayo Beach and Playa Blanca. There is a sort of tourist market twice a week and we have been there once. Marina Rubicon is really a nice but very new place, but the harbour is really pretty with all the boats.
The second layout shows our very last day on the island, we went one last time to the Papagayo Beach an had a great time there. I used some additional papers from the 6x6 paperpad that comes with the monthly card kit and I tried to use all the numbers from the alphasheets, I really do not like leftovers.
I used some Intagrams for this particular layout. Sometimes its easier for me to scrap with 4x4 photos and sometimes I love to scrap with 4x6 pictures, it really depends on the theme, the papers and the embellishments. I hope you liked my miniseries about scrapping a kit. End of february I will show you my pages with the february kit. Meanwhile I will post some "Scrap Your Stash" layouts and minis and of course a lot of fun cards. So stay tuned!

Scrap Your KIt - January [Yaiza, Sun Royal]
Hei ladies! Do you really want to see more pictures from our recent trip to one of the most beautiful Canary Islands? Hope so! Today I present you two pages. The first one is from our trip to the wonderful and pretty city Yaiza. I did´nt make a lot of photos that day because my oldest one didn´t feel quite well, but my husband took some really nice random pictures there. So this one on the page is from him. It was stormy and raining that day, so the air was full of dark clouds.
My second page is about our hotel in Playa Blanca. The hotel was a family friendly appartment hotel with two giant swimming pools, we had an appartment next to the big wooden staircase. It was really a nice hotel and the people working there were very friendly. The kids loved to swim in the pool after breakfast.
The pictures were taken in the evening, because I wanted to have no people on the photos,. Don´t like to have strangers on my pictures actually. I used some brighter colors and embellishments on the page, it gives a sort of contrast.

Scrap Your Kit - January [Dezember Unter Palmen, Beautiful Playa Blanca]
Hei and welcome back! More bright colors and fun scrapbook layouts today! I really love the look and the feel of the january scrapbook kit "Copper Mountain" and add on "High Point" by Studio Calico.
The following page is a scraplift. I loved how Celine Navarro used the big wood veneer with all the circles. This page is my main page about our trip to Lanzarote and doesn´t need any journaling.
The second page is about our walk from the lighthouse to Playa Blanca. I took some pictures of the waves in the Atlantic Ocean but I really like this one from a blooming cactus. Its symbolizes life for me and I love its color!
Tomorrow I will show you two more fun and happy pages with the january scrapbbok kit by Studio Calico about our trip to Lanzarote. So stay tuned!

Scrap Your Kit - January [Montanas Del Fuego, Jameos Del Agua]
Hei! Today I want to present you two of my most colorful pages I made with the fun and bright scrapbook kit "Copper Mountain" and add on "High Point" by Studio Calico. One day we decided to go to the Timanfaya National Park, we didn´t wanted to hire a car, which is quite pricey, so we took the bus to Yaiza and then a taxi directly to the viewpoint "Montanas del Fuego". The statue "El Diablo" by César Manrique is it´s symbol.
The second scrapbook layout is about the famous place "Jameo del Agua" which is also created by César Manrique. This volcanic lava tube extends to the sea and connects with the Cueva de los Verdes, passing through the Cueva de los 7 Lagos. The volcanic tube has been converted by renowned Lanzarote artist, painter, sculptor and architect, César Manrique.
Love all the orange at this place. I took a lot of pictures there but these two photos present the feeling of this special place best.

Baking stories [Kanelboller, Sjokoladeboller]
Hei and welcome to my crafty blog! Today I want to give you two recipes for typical scandinavian boller. I made kanelboller (cinnamon rolls) and sjokoladeboller for a school event tomorrow. We will have a lot of fun at the Varingskollen with Emil´s classmates and parents with skiing, BBQ and these boller.
They taste really good, my kids love them!
Kanelboller/Sjokoladeboller:
300 ml milk, warm
2 tsp dried yeast
50 g sugar
500 g plain flour
1/2 tsp salt
75 g butter, melted
1 tsp ground cardamom
1 tbsp butter, melted
For the kanelboller:
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
For the sjokoladeboller:
200 g chocolate chips
- First make a starter dough as follows: heat the milk until lukewarm and pour in yeast and 1 tsp sugar and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- Mix flour, remaining sugar, butter, cardamom, salt and starter dough and knead it up to 5 minutes until firm but soft. Cover the dough with a kitchen towel and let it rest for about an hour until it rises considerably.
- For kanelboller: Roll out the dough about 2 cm thick on it (40cm x 30cm). Mix sugar with cinnamon in a small bowl. Now brush the melted butter onto the dough and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar. Then start rolling the dough from the broader site until you have a big long roll. Cut about 2 cm thick pieces and place these with one cut surface up. Leave these to rest until considerably risen again.
- For the sjokoladeboller: add 200 g chocolate chips to the dough and make balls that easily fit into your hands and then let them rise again for about 25 minutes, covering them with a tea towel and keeping them in a warm area.
- In the meanwhile heat the oven to 225º. Bake the whirls or sjokoladeboller for about 10-15 minutes until golden.
