Playa Blanca

Papagayo Beach

We are back from the Canary Islands and we had a wonderful vacation on the island Lanzarote, one of the most beautiful islands I have ever been. The boys had a lot of fun at the pool at the Hotel Sun Royal and at the Papagayo beach near Playa Blanca!

We have seen so many beautiful places like Playa Blanca, Yaiza, Marina del Rubicon, Arrecife, Puerto del Carmen and Teguise. We visited the Jameo del Agua lagoon, which was formed by a volcanic eruption and we have been to the Jardin de Cactus, a garden which was designed by the well known artist and architect César Manrique, who was born in Arrecife.

The most breathtaking place was the Timanfaya National Park in the southwestern part of the island. The parkland is entirely made up of volcanic soil. The statue "El Diabolo" by César Manrique is its symbol.
