Crafting With Kids [Cupcaketoppers]

Hei and welcome to my new series "crafting with kids". I have two boys aged 6 and 9 and they love to craft with paper and other stuff. One will be an artist or a designer one day and the other one wants to be a pilote but he is the one who loves scrapbooking and making cards most. So I decided my boys are pretty perfect for this job! And they loved it!

Today my kids and I want to show you how you can make cool cupcaketoppers. All you need is pretty paper, some punches or dies for a manual die cutting machine, some adhesive and some toothpicks.

First we selected some beautiful papers from the basic collection by Pebbles in red, yellow, darkblue and aqua. The kids liked to have starshaped cupcaketoppers so we decided to make some stars and circles with the help of some dies and a die cutting machine. My kids have their own one and they love to use this tool.

After that the boys adhered the stars to the circles on one side. Then the boys adhered circles to the circles with the stars. In between those circles they adhered a toothpick.

My job was the baking part. I made some vanilla cupcakes with white chocolate frosting after a recipe of Manuela, a norwegian blogger and baker.
I made these cupcakes for the birthdayparty of my oldest son. He had a big party today with all the boys from his class and they loved the cupcakes!
